Sketch and motto still to be presented
The sketch and the motto of the 2027 falla have not been presented yet: according to reports, they will be revealed around mid-November. We will update this article as soon as they are.
The move up to the Special Section
According to the JCF’s provisional classification, Ribera-Convent de Santa Clara declares €100,000 for its 2027 large falla and enters the Special Section, the top category of València’s Fallas. In 2026 it competed in Primera A, where it was the section’s second-highest budget.
For the children’s falla, the same classification places it in section 1, with €20,000 declared.
The classification is provisional: commissions can lodge objections until 26 October 2026 and the JCF will then publish the final version.
The falla: where it is and who is behind it
The falla is planted in the centre of València, around Ribera street and Convent de Santa Clara street, a short walk from the Estación del Norte and the bullring. It is also known as “the Telefónica/Movistar falla” because of the sponsorship the company renewed in 2025.
The 2024, 2025 and 2026 monuments were the work of artist Miguel Santaeulalia Serrán, and the press suggests he will also be behind the 2027 falla, which the commission will confirm when the sketch is presented.
